Learning to the appropriate way to eat at the table is always a challenge. How can we help a child with special needs learn how to communicate their needs at the table as well as ways to help them understand proper manners? This place mat is designed to do just that. There is a task analysis of what you should do at the table. Sit in a chair, use a napkin, eat with a utensil, wait your turn, clear your plate just to name a few things. On the sides of the place mats are request like, "yes, no, I want something different' thank you, no thank you, more, please." All these symbols are right at the person’s fingertip on a place mate.

We also offer this place mat in cloth that is folds for ease in travel and is machine washable.
