Taking Turns

I remember the day my 14 year old son almost knocked a 6 year old child of a ride because he still had not mastered taking turns. People with special needs often have a one track mind and when they are going to something they don’t look around them to see what is in their environment. Often times they will push others out of the way, talk over others without regard to what they are doing and, in some cases, others have been hurt because of the individuals lack of awareness of those around them. This is a great book to explain how to take turns and to acknowledge others around you.
This book can be used over and over again to teach your special needs child more appropriate strategies for dealing with things going on in their environment.

Each item is handmade and then made into a PDF file (Adobe Reader File) so you can use this file and make as many copies as you would like.

It’s a great addition to your collection of educational material for special needs children.

We do sell the completed book of this which is laminated and bound for your immediate use.

Intellectual Property Note: All PDF files, books are created by me and are my property which allows me to legally distribute them via eBay policies.

What is a Social Story

Social Story Books are tools for teaching social skills to children with autism and related disabilities. Social stories provide an individual with accurate information about those situations they may find difficult or confusing. Each situation is described in detail and focus is given to key points: the important social cues, the events and reactions the individual might expect to occur in the situation, the actions and reactions that might be expected of them, and why. The goal of our stories; to increase the individual’s understanding, make them more comfortable, and suggest some appropriate responses for the situation in question.
