Consultation Services
Communication A to Z provides a variety of consultative services to parents, Community Care Facilities, and schools. The focus of our consultation services are to provide an understanding to the basic principles of applied behavior analysis and effect socially significant change in regards to challenging behaviors. Our goal is to provide new skills that are useful and purposeful in everyday life while decreasing or eliminating unwanted behaviors that interfere with learning or maintaining more appropriate skills.
The general consultation services we provide include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Functional assessments
- Assessment and intervention assistance.
- Parent training in group and in-home settings.
- We provide assessment and consultation in schools and school districts.
- Consultation in homes to parents.
- We provide assistive technology assistance through the use of simple communicative aides such as Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) systems, visual supports and communication aides.
- We provide a variety of training and workshops including Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention.
- Monitoring staff and client engagement as well as providing feedback to promote successful interactions and conveying that information to administration for follow up as needed.
- Participate in the troubleshooting of program plans and follow up as needed to meet the clients and group homes needs.
