Behavior Analyst

Experience and Training:

At least 5 years of ongoing training and experience, working with the population as well as the type of intervention for delivering services to special needs individuals.

Duties Include:

  • Conduct functional analysis assessments;
  • Behavior intervention development;
  • Onsite behavioral and program consultation;
  • Program supervision and management;
  • Program/material development;
  • Assist with the development and oversight of the Individualized Education/Family Service Plan (IEP/IFSP);
  • Conduct training workshops for families, schools, community organizations and agency staff members;
  • Conduct clinic meetings for each student;
  • Train parents and teachers in implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and other related behavior intervention procedures;
  • Inclusion service support;
  • Monitor lessons and program implementation at each visit and modify when needed;
  • Ongoing student evaluation of data collection and IEP/IFSP implementation at each visit;
  • Develop IEP/IFSP reports and/or other reports based on services provided;
  • Training and supervision of junior and senior behavior therapists; and
  • Collaboration with adjunctive service providers and all other members of the student's educational environment.
  • Number of hours to be determined by a Behavior Consultant and/or IEP/IFSP team based on initial functional analysis behavior assessment.
  • Services to be provided at the student's home and/or classroom.

Senior Behavior Consultant

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related field;
  • 1 year of experience in working as a Junior Behavior Therapist implementing 1:1 treatment services to children diagnosed in the autism spectrum;
  • Must have own means of transportation, license to drive and proof of valid insurance; and
  • No prior criminal history.

Duties Include:

  • Fulfill all junior therapist duties competently;
  • Provide continuous feedback to junior behavior therapists;
  • Monitor lessons in program weekly;
  • Review and update data weekly;
  • Observe program implementation by ensuring consistency across the treatment program and with therapists' performance;
  • Interface with behavior consultant/case supervisor;
  • Submit monthly summary reports on data, as needed;
  • Attendance and participation in clinic meetings. This includes taking detailed notes at clinic meetings including specific program or lesson instructions and changes, behavioral interventions, material development, and parent training, as needed;
  • Implement changes made at clinic meetings and/or individual supervision with a behavior consultant. This includes adding new lessons, designed by the Case Supervisor, with specific instructions to the team about how the lesson(s) should proceed and/or implementing changes within existing lessons;
  • Overlap/train new therapist(s) on the treatment team until confident that the therapist(s) may work independently;
  • Answer any questions therapists have that are written in the program binder; and
  • Keep the program materials and the program binder updated and organized at all times;
  • Number of hours to be determined by a Behavior Consultant and/or IEP/IFSP team based on initial functional analysis behavior assessment; and
  • Services to be provided at the student's home and/or classroom.

Behavior Consultant Aid

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in college or university and pursuing a degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related field;
  • Experience in working with children with special needs preferred, but not required;
  • Must have own means of transportation, license to drive and proof of valid insurance; and
  • No prior criminal history.

Duties Include:

  • Behavior intervention implementation.
  • Implement ABA, modified discrete trial, social skills training, incidental teaching and/or pivotal response training, inclusion support services and other related services;
  • Implement the Individualized Education/Family Service Plan (IEP/IFSP);
  • Observe and record behavioral data on specific target behaviors;
  • Monitor student's behaviors and progress;
  • Communicate with supervisory and school staff;
  • Implement changes as requested by Senior Behavior Therapist; and
  • Attendance and participation in clinic meetings.
